In T.I.Rs – Canon 5D MkII two camera shoot
First corporate shoot on Canon 5D MkII.
Shooting my first corporate film on this camera was a challenge. I acted as a shooting Director of this film for a HGV training company and was ably assisted by my photographer friend Mark Kensett and another photographer, Glenn Blackburn. These guys had the cameras and some exquisite lenses but very little moving image experience.
As it turns out, together we made a pretty good team and were happy to take direction from me as well as both come up with some excellent ideas as well.
The film ends with a articulated truck up in Buttertubs Pass in Hawes, Wensleydale. Quite dramatic.
The 5D is a difficult camera to work with, but the images speak for themselves. Worth the effort!
Here’s the final edit.

10/10 A superb corporate film Jonathan, you must be proud of that production. Creative, with superb cinematography, amazing stuff and filmed with 2 stills cameras!!!! Very impressive, hope they paid you zillions for that work.
Do you plan to use the 5d on your next corporate or is it too difficult to use on those jobs, despite the brilliant results.
Yes, I plan to use as much of the 5D as possible on the corporate work. It’s tricky to work with, but corporate shoot tend to be more structured than the documentary work, so you can spend the time to shoot with it.
Is a brilliant work, really.
I was shooting director of many corporates until now. But never really behind the camera.
I think is the time for me to take a such in hand. I am just beginner in this. Thats quite funny….
I am thinking also for the DSRL possibilities. It looks is the future on it. Isn`t it? These jag 35 kids are doing amazing work
(http://jag35.com) on the equipment.
